Today’s Bible verse, in proper context, promises those that believe and are devoted and have absolute faith in God of their assurance of eternal life. However, for those that have no faith in god and replace it with a Laissez Faire (i.e. “let things take their own course” ) attitude that assumes that after this life is over, whatever happens will likewise “Take Care of Itself” are making a tragic, eternal mistake. You see, the Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 that once we die, there will be a judgement on our lives — not based on whether we are 'naughty or nice' — but what is our relationship (or rather LACK of relationship) to God. Friend, I am giving you a heartfelt warning. Please listen. If you are not planning about what happens after your life ends You Are Playing Russian Roulette With ETERNITY . The Bible says (not me…) that once on the other side for those that do not make a decision about what happens next after death There

There is a dynamic contrast between people regarding how they feel about knowing God. For the Apostle Paul, his earnest desire was to truly KNOW and be in communion with God, however for others even the thought of a &#39god' or a need to recognize him is illogical or unreasonable and not worth their time, consideration or attention. The Bible says that Christ’s stern rebuke to those that do not want to know God will sadly hear after life is over these four tragic words: I NEVER KNEW YOU . The Bible says that a (true) Friend “Is closer than a brother” and there is no greater friend to have than God himself! However like any close relationship, being in close communion with another person takes time, care, and attention. Relationship with God is not a twice a year or once a week visit to a church but a daily time of quiet time in prayer and listening to God by reading and meditating on His WORD. Jesus tells us in John 15

We use words like Faith, Hope, and Love perhaps too casually in our vernacular, but the examples below capture the best essence of their true meaning. (Author Unknown) A group of farmers in a small town were experiencing a prolonged draught and decided to meet in the town square for a community day of prayer for rain. One boy showed up with an umbrella. This is FAITH Each night we set our alarm anticipating the next day will be another blessed day on earth. This is HOPE Thou the world reels from tragedy, death, and destruction, we still have marriages and children. This is LOVE When you make future plans, despite not knowing what challenges may lie ahead. This is CONFIDENCE When you throw a baby up in the air, they laugh hysterically and are confident that you’ll catch them. This is TRUST A senior citizens jersey said “I’m not 80! I’m 16 with 64 years of experience!” This is ATTITUDE God Bless Your D

Have you ever stopped to think how 'conditional' our love can be with those that are closest to us? If you look back on your life, have you ever fallen into the 'blame game' pattern against others? I have to say I’ve been guilty of that more than once! And while we keep score sheets against the very people we love, on the contrary, our Heavenly Father never does and loves us freely and unconditionally We must always remind ourselves of His example. Despite the fact that we may fail in this and other areas in our lives, He never stops loving us in our journey to righteousness. The Bible shows us that God’s unconditional love to us never fails - despite our failings - because our God is faithful. He knows while we are in the world and struggle in the flesh with temptation and pride, He will always forgive those that believe that their sins have already been paid for by Christ on the cross. When we do, He will always love us with an u

The great Catholic saint, St. Francis of Assisi said, “ Preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” Over the centuries, Christians and the Church in the name of Christ have selflessly acted as source of charity to those in need through selfishly helping the poor, building hospitals, schools and orphanages. This work carries on today worldwide by many loving people that selflessly dedicate their lives to helping others in a variety of ways. While a person’s ultimate eternal need is the salvation of their soul, we are compelled to also meet the immediate needs of people for food, shelter, clothing, distress in health, or lack of family. Showing indifference to those in need â€" as today’s scripture verse says â€" is an affront to God. As such we must always consider those in need and be generous in our support. Friend, we can preach the Gospel in many ways, and as the Apostle Paul said in First Corinthians chapt

As a young boy, I saw a car with an old man and lady that had stopped too close to a railroad crossing. As the locomotive passed it caught the front bumper and the car was flipped upside down, trapping the couple inside. All of us in the crowd stood stunned & watching, but did nothing even as the couple yelled for help. Years later, I always asked myself, “Why didn’t I (then as a Boy Scout, taught to always help others) DO SOMETHING?!? In cases of actual, extreme matters of life and death, civil law calls this 'Depraved Indifference.' That is if a person purposely ignores assisting someone in a perilous situation, they can be prosecuted for their negligence. As today’s Bible verse says, as Christians we must have the utmost urgency to share the Gospel to as many people as possible warning them of the reality of the future possibilities of their souls after death. We are compelled to do so as a matter of consciousness,

One of the greatest revelations of my life is I can choose what I want to think about or what I don’t. I don’t have to just think about whatever comes into my mind. What a revelation this is, because Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” In other words, where the mind goes, the man follows. God is always concerned about our inner life and what we think about, and like the today’s scripture says, the way we think determines how we live and who we are. That’s why we need to ponder what we’re thinking about and be aware that our thoughts are always pleasing God. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 teaches us how important it is to learn to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Once we do this we will live a life of peace with God, peace with ourselves, enjoy great relationships, experience joy, and apprehend all that God has created us to be. It comes down to choosing to believe what God says more than following ou
